MANUAL THERAPY IS A THERAPEUTIC METHOD FOR THE TREATMENT OF MUSCULOSKELETAL DISORDERS WITHOUT SURGERY OR MEDICATION.
It is a high-level diagnostic and therapeutic method used to treat spinal and limb problems effectively and with lasting results.
This method is a symptomatic therapy rather than an outpatient therapy, which means that we identify the cause of the symptoms and eliminate the causes, thus providing our patients with a lasting improvement.
Treatment begins with a thorough examination. We examine posture, any deformities, asymmetries, spinal shape and range of motion, vertebral movements, mobility of the limb joints, muscle condition, strength and stretch.
It is important to map the patient’s daily life and habits in terms of work, hobbies, sports, nutrition and fluid consumption.
THE THERAPY IS COMPLEX.
It includes preparatory soft tissue techniques, grips, then mobilization and manipulation techniques to restore proper joint motion. Targeted exercises (strengthening, stretching) are used to stabilise the improvement achieved. The patient will be given ergonomic advice on how to adjust the desk, chair, monitor, keyboard, mouse at work, how to lift if necessary, and how to do so in a way that is gentle on the spine. We suggest appropriate sports and forms of exercise.
